Hey! I'm Jo!

I'm a Senior Product Designer with 14 years of experience designing digital products that are easy to use and grow the business. I've worked across retail, government, wagering and financial services, with teams including Myer, NSW Government, Sportsbet and Suncorp.

My work sits where design, data and commercial outcomes meet. At Myer, I've spent four years in the optimisation team, designing and delivering 200+ experiments across the shopping journey.

I'm hands-on from discovery to delivery: framing the problem, leading research, facilitating workshops, prototyping, testing and partnering closely with engineering through to launch. I use AI every day to speed up research synthesis and exploration, so I can spend more of my time on what matters most: judgement, evidence and the people I'm designing for.

Why psychology matters to my work

My background is a bachelor's degree in psychology. It shapes how I approach design: understanding how people make decisions, where they hesitate and what builds trust. That's why experimentation and behavioural design have become my specialty, because every hypothesis starts with a question about human behaviour.

How I work with teams

I believe great products come from aligned, energised teams. I bring stakeholders together early, make decisions visible, and build the kind of culture where people enjoy working together, whether that's in a workshop room or across a distributed team.

A bit more about me

I'm Brazilian and have called Melbourne home for the past ten years, now as an Australian citizen. Living between cultures has given me a genuine appreciation for different perspectives, which I bring into every research session and team I'm part of.

Outside work, you'll find me kayaking, drawing, deep in a WWII documentary, or trying new recipes (recommendations always welcome).
